Rachel Brask selected for “Once Upon Water” ArtResidency
Rachel Brask is one of 14 international artists selected for participation in the Once Upon Water art residency, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Artists from Argentina, Hong Kong, Australia, Greece, and from across Canada and the United States are participating in this residency of creating work and exchanging ideas and conversations with other artists whose work delves deeply into the topic of water. Through her oil paintings of rainwater flowing down windows, Brask’s artwork will join the conversation with photographers, painters, printmakers, conceptual and performance artists about the many different aspects of water in artwork. This residency on Toronto Island offers a remote immersion for two weeks on an island surrounded by water and the natural landscape. An exhibition will be organized at the end of the residency.
