About Mountain Rains Collection

I have always had a fascination with mountains. If you ask me if I prefer to spend a weekend on the beach or a weekend in the mountains, the mountains will usually win. In 2018 I created artwork at a residency that was situated right in the beautiful valleys of the Blue Ridge Mountains. During that residency, I sought inspiration from the mountains around me and from the skies over those mountains. I have continued to add to the collection of paintings about mountains viewed through rain as I either encounter additional reference material that really strikes me, or imagine a particular series of mountains cascading into one another into the greater distance.
